Fourth of July in Orange County

Ooh and ah at the fireworks over the Dana Point, Run for Fun on the 4th with Laguna Niguel YMCA, or watch the Old Glory Boat parade in Newport Beach. Throughout Orange County, there are endless possibilities for your 4th of July celebrations. We’re particularly partial to the traditional Tustin celebration, so we’ll start there:

Tustin – Annual Fourth of July Celebration. Tustin High School, 1171 El Camino Real

Live music (The Silverados) starts at 6:30 P.M. Fireworks at 9:00 P.M. Pack a picnic & blanket. Tustin High Boosters will also be selling drinks, snacks and BBQ. Operation Warm Wishes will be collecting blankets to share with disadvantaged and houseless veterans.

Brea – Annual Brea County Fair. City Hall Park, 401 S. Brea Blvd.

Beginning with a pancake breakfast at 11am, the fair offers free entertainment until 3pm, including live music, kids activities, crafts, and a market area. Cool of in the afternoon with a swim at the Plunge for $2 after 2pm.

Dana Point – 4th of July All-American BBQ Buffet and Fireworks Extravaganza. 25135 Park Lantern, Dana Point

5:00 – 9:30pm

Craving some good ol’ American BBQ? Head to Dana Point’s 4th of July All-American BBQ Buffet and Fireworks Extravaganza. Located at the beautiful Laguna Cliffs Marriott, you’ll have the perfect view of the Dana Point firework show below. Adults are $99, children age 6-12 are $40, and children under 5 are free.

Newport Beach – Old Glory Boat Parade. Newport Harbor, Newport Beach. 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Boatowners deck out their boats with the stars and stripes for the 4th of July. Who will be the most patriotic of them all? When not enjoying the boat parade, take advantage of the chance to explore the harbor, kayak, swim, or paddle board.
